Dr Matthew Ku

Biography

Dr Matthew Ku completed his medical degree at Monash University and undertook his Haematology advanced training at various Melbourne and Sydney academic tertiary hospitals. He received his Fellowships from both the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia as well as the Royal Australian College of Physicians in 2012. Dr Ku’s PhD focused on novel pathways in acute myeloid leukaemia, which he obtained from the University of Melbourne in 2016. Subsequently, Dr Ku’s postdoctoral Lymphoma/Myeloma Fellowship involved managing complex patients on clinical studies.

Currently Dr Ku is a consultant haematologist based at Lilydale Specialists Centre and Knox Private Hospital.

Dr Ku has extensive experience in malignant haematology, particularly lymphomas and multiple myeloma, as well as in clotting and bleeding disorders. He has published multiple manuscripts for peer reviewed journals and presented at both national and international haematology conferences.

Dr Ku is involved in teaching medical students through the University of Melbourne.
