Biography

Dr Benjamin Popp graduated with a BSc (Biomedical) from Monash University in 1998, majoring in Medical Microbiology and Pharmacology. He completed an honours year in Molecular Microbiology in 1999. Soon after, Dr Popp began a PhD in molecular pharmacology. During his PhD Dr Popp also embarked on a medical degree. He graduated with an MBBS from Melbourne University in 2008 and with a PhD from Monash University in 2009. Dr Popp worked as an anatomical pathology trainee at both St. John of God Pathology (Geelong Hospital) and Dorevitch Pathology (Footscray Hospital) before receiving a Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists Australasia in 2016. Passionate about teaching anatomical pathology and co-authoring papers, Dr Popp joined Dorevitch as an Anatomical Pathologist in 2017.
