Dr Alan McNeil

Biography

Dr Alan McNeil graduated from the University of NSW and completed his postgraduate training in Pathology and Endocrinology in Adelaide and Newcastle. He completed a PhD in Medicine at the Royal Melbourne Hospital studying intracellular signalling. Soon after a role as Senior Lecturer in Chemical Pathology at Auckland University, Dr McNeil was appointed Chemical Pathologist at Dorevitch Pathology, later becoming Head of Chemical Pathology. Dr McNeil received the Welcome Prize in the membership examinations of the Australasian Association of Clinical Biochemists (AACB) and was granted an NH&MRC Postgraduate Scholarship for his PhD studies. Dr McNeil is also an examiner in Chemical Pathology for the Royal Australasian College of Pathologists.
