Biography

Dr Sophie Lee graduated from the University of Auckland with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery in 2000. She began her haematology training at Auckland City and Middlemore Hospitals before achieving her Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia in 2011. Dr Lee is dual-trained and also holds a Fellowship of Royal Australasian College of Physicians. After winning the Leukaemia Foundation PhD scholarship, Dr Lee went on to investigate the role of DLK1 at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute. Her work has been submitted as a PhD thesis to Melbourne University and is to be published in peer-reviewed journals. Dr Lee has worked as a clinical haematologist at Box Hill Hospital, Sunshine hospital and Melton Health and she joined Dorevitch Pathology in 2016.
