Dr. Vanaja Muthurajah studied medicine at the University of Sydney and did 3 years of clinical work. Vanaja gained her Fellowship form the RCPA in 2006. Her pathology training included the Prince Alfred Hospital and the Illawarra Region Hospital in NSW, Medlab Central in North Island, New Zealand and the Royal Women's and Royal Children's Hospital in Victoria. Vanaja completed her last year of training at the Ballarat Laboratory and continued as a consultant pathologist following her Fellowship.
Vanaja enjoys working in a regional teaching hospital as it offers reporting on a wide range of subjects. Areas of special interests include lymph node pathology and fine needle aspirations. Vanaja also enjoys clinicopathologic meetings and the interaction with clinicians as well as Registrar training.
