Dr. Sheena Broughton graduated in Birmingham in the UK in 1976 and completed her clinical microbiology training at Addenbrooks Hospital Cambridge.

After moving to Australia, Sheena completed her Registrar training at the Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne with Professor Lyn Gilbert.

Sheena is an Infectious Diseases Specialist with the Department of Medicine Peninsula Health and joined Dorevitch Pathology in 1995 based at our Frankston Laboratory where she provides clinical microbiological advice to Peninsula Health and surrounding medical practitioners and hospitals.

Sheena's area of special interest is appropriate use of antimicrobials and infection control.
