Dr. John Catalano graduated from Monash University in 1981 and completed his Haematology training in Melbourne at the Alfred and Peter MacCallum Hospitals.

John was Leukemia and transplant coordinator at Royal Marsden Hospital in London from 1991 and the Head Clinical Haematology at Monash Medical Centre from 1998-2003.

John joined Dorevitch Pathology in 2003 at our Frankston Laboratory to develop Haematology services at the Frankston Laboratory, Frankston Hospital and Mornington Peninsula.

John's areas of special interest include morphology, clinical trials, malignant haematology, obstetric haematology and he is the convenor of the Victorian Haematology Slide Club.
