Work Experience Program: Secondary Students
* Please note: The Secondary School Work Experience program will not be operating during 2008 due to operations of the business and the acquisition of Symbion Health.
Dorevitch Pathology’s Secondary School Work Experience Program provides students with an opportunity to gain an insight into the Diagnostic (Pathology) industry.
The program is offered to students undertaking Years 10 – 12, and undertaking relevant subjects which may lead their career into this exciting industry. Students participating in the program are given the opportunity to spend one week working within available departments to observe and participate in the daily activities of those departments.
Dorevitch Pathology’s main central laboratory is located in Heidelberg; however we operate another 23 laboratories across Victoria.
- Metropolitan: 8 laboratories
- Regional: 15 laboratories
Dorevitch Pathology encourages the involvement from students located from all areas of Victoria to apply.
Discipline areas within the laboratory may include; Histology, Cytology, Haematology, Biochemistry, Microbiology

When applications reopen, the application process for the work experience program will include the submission of:
- a covering letter
- a resumé
Secondary School Work Experience places are limited and we request students to apply early to avoid disappointment.
